My daughter has been wishing, hoping, and praying to go to Clearwater Marine Aquarium for years. She received the book, Winter’s Tale, from her great-uncle (long before the movie came out) and was immediately captivated by the story about a dolphin who lost her tail. She even asked to have a dolphin rescue birthday party last year.
Finally getting to Clearwater may have been her happiest day ever.
Feeding…
and playing with Panama (Winter’s best friend).
Spending lots of time learning from the trainers.
And, of course, meeting Winter herself.
Do you have any dreams? What are they?
Personally, I want to travel to Italy and Greece. Expensive dreams. …Maybe someday…
Dream Come True
Your daughter looks very happy and interested. Our kids love to touch the dolphins, but to ride or swim with them is so expensive. Non of my family members could stomach the expenses to let the kids do it. Maybe when we win the lottery. We were in Cabo.
This looks so wonderful. When my daughter moves to Florida (within a year) I’m going down and her, her son and I are going to go swimming with the dolphins.
You know, I think she would have been less excited about swimming with dolphins. (Although she certainly would have enjoyed it.) She really wanted to hear all about how the animals were rescued, see how they are fed, and learn how the trainers are working to keep them healthy. She is now all excited about getting involved in swim lessons again, because she learned that dolphin trainers must be very good swimmers. I love how her brain works.
What a fantastic looking trip! I am sure that experience will be a life-long wonderful memory for her:)
That looks amazing. My girls saw the movie and they are dreaming of visiting that aquarium! I also dream of Italy!
It is more of a rescue facility than a fancy museum (which is what we loved about it.) Your girls would have a blast there!
wow…a close encounter :)
This would be so COOL!

That is awesome her dream could come true. That looks like an awesome place to visit. I went to Sea World and fed the dolphins which was fun.
My heart smiled at this :)
