When you find something like this in the back of the kitchen cupboard:

DSC_0027Plymouth Rock got their patent in 1889 and trademark in 1905, so I know that it can’t be any older than 109 years old (Phew!).  My best guess is closer to 50, which is still older than I am.  That’s not too bad, is it?  You’ve found old stuff back in the dark corners too, right?  Please tell me I’m not alone!

Okay, okay.  Back to kitchen cleaning for me.

That’s cool. I don’t remember that from my childhood, so it must be 100 years old.

After my parents died, we cleaned out their house. We found a prescription for my sister to help with crankiness that was dated from 1955. We were like, dang, we had that stuff all these years and never used it.

That’s hilarious! I wonder what was in the bottle – I think I might have a use for whatever it is.

Old stuff is fun to find and explore. I love watching the show The Pickers and what they come up with.

You never know when you’re going to need a Plymouth rock flyer. I used to live there!

Interesting… Who eats plane gelatine? That is what is cool about living in an older house, you end up finding things like that!

Wow, that’s a really interesting thing to find in the back of the cupboard! I’m more likely to find rubber bands & old receipts, I think :)

I don’t know, 109 years seems pretty reasonable to me. :)
